This teriyaki chicken bowl is a household fave! It’s balanced, packed with protein, full of flavour, and leaves you feeling satisfied without the calorie overload.
The shredded chicken breast gives you lean protein, which is key for keeping you full. Pair it with low carb rice (variation from @itsgivingnutrition’s original recipe), while the shredded coleslaw brings in volume and crunch for barely any calories!!
Our sugar-free teriyaki sauce ties the whole meal together with a sweet and savory flavour, without the unnecessary sugar or calories you’d find in most store-bought sauces.
This bowl is satisfying, delicious, and proof that you don’t have to cut flavour to hit your goals, you just need to make smart swaps.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups - Shredded Cole Slaw
- 120 grams - Shredded Chicken (checkout the recipe from @itsgivingnutrition on Instagram)
- 110 grams – Low carb rice (try QETOE rice)
- 70ml – Low Carb Emporium Teriyaki Sauce
- 1 tsp - Minced Garlic
- 30 grams - Onion
(Healthy mayo)
- 1 tsp - Dijon Mustard
- 1/2 tsp- Garlic Powder
- 85 grams - Greek Yogurt Natural Light (@chobani)
- 1 tsp - Monk Fruit Sweetener
- 0.5 tsp - White Wine Vinegar
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Make the Mayo: Mix in all the mayo ingredients in a bowl – simple!
- Mix the shredded cabbage in with the mayo
- In a separate bowl mix in all the other ingredients
- Top with the slaw and enjoy!
