Ingredients
Lupin flour, almond meal, rice protein, flax meal, chia flour, baking powder, vanilla bean powder, natural flavour, cinnamon, salt.
We purchased this to give it a try. Well, very pleasantly surprised. We tend to have one large pancake each as a treat and just one pack will do around 4-5 large (medium frying pan sized) pancakes for two people. Taste and texture is great. Just make sure you add a little oil (butter, oil, etc) into the pan, just gives it a night texture and makes sure it'll slide right out of the pan.
I have tried a few different low carb pancakes, these are by far the best so far, by themselves they are a little bland but with Walden Farms Maple Syrup they are great! Even better with some low carb ice cream. When I cook these in my house hold I have to cook enough for everyone and they are not on low carb diets! They come out thick and fluffy and are delicious but they are a bit expensive.
I have repeat bought this mix. Im on a keto diet and happy that three good sized pancakes have ony 2.5net carb. They are great with butter and no sugar jam and are very filling. I saw another reviewer didnt like the taste or texture but I find them great ., In fact they are the best low carb pancake mix I have tried
I was quite excited when I discovered the PB&Co brand, but unfortunately, I haven't been a fan of the products I've tried. So far, I've tried the pizza base and the muffins, and each time I haven't liked the flavour or the texture. I decided to give the pancakes a try as I've tried a few keto brand pancake mixtures recently, and I saw that a positive review had been left for this one. On a positive note, the finished product did look nice, and I like the fact that the mix is able to be spread out through individual portions. However, once again, I just didn't enjoy the flavour or texture of the finished product, and I'm doubting I'll use the rest of the packet. I much prefer the palena fresh brand.
I have made other recipes from scratch and other premade pancake mixes but I always come back to this one. I always make sure I have a pack on hand as it is so quick to whip up a few pancakes whenever the fancy takes me. They are so simple and fast to make and enjoyable to eat, whether eaten fresh as pancakes, or used later as a devonshire tea with sugar free jam and thick cream.
