Most things "not pasta" are never going to give you the mouth feel and satisfaction of pasta. I made a cheesy salmon dish with the palmini linguine and I've got to say it was delicious. I rinsed the palmini thoroughly which I think is super important. It has a crunch to it that if you have zoodles is not dissimilar to the texture. It certainly doesn't have the awful taste and nose feel that the "slendier" noodles have. I would absolutely buy this again and as I said if you are a zoodle lover, these will do just as well and have a higher nutritional profile! You still get the feeling of picking up a forkful of pasta and it's a very satisfying meal - just expect the crunch (which really isn't that bad) and you'll love em too. Mildly flavoured, easily partnered with your fav pasta sauce! :-)
Perhaps my lack of affinity for the texture of some vegetables might explain my bad experience with Hearts of Palm products. I tried preparing different batches to different extremes and it never lost its 'crunch' like texture. I wouldn't have minded if it didn't stall on my palate, during chewing and swallowing, making Hearts of Palm's bolus difficult to swallow. On the positive side, it tasted OK.
I’ve made it with seafood and it was so delicious, I’m a big pasta lover but I did not miss the pasta from the dish it has satisfied my tastes buds 100% ! So, I returned to buy some more ☺ï¸
