Book Review: Glucose Revolution by Jessie Inchauspé

It has been a while since I have done a book review, honestly not since I studied English Literature in Year 12 at school, and that was so so long ago.
Being on this low carb journey, I am always on the lookout for new information and research. I stumbled across @glucosegoddess on Instagram a little while ago and very quickly became intrigued by the information that she has been sharing.
Jessie talks about not only minimising sugar, but the order of how to eat foods and the effect that this has on someone’s glucose level. The ideal being to have stable blood glucose levels to reduce fluctuations. Now, why is this important? Well, she goes on to explain that stable blood glucose levels help to lose weight and maintain it, assists with cravings, and exhaustion plus much more.
Jessie popped on a glucose monitoring device to see which foods were impacting her glucose levels, and how to curb some of the ups and downs. She monitored not only herself, but other people as well. She introduced ‘hacks’, as she calls them, that you implement in order to stabilise glucose levels. These incorporate eating foods (including some carbs) in a certain order, the daily use of Apple Cider Vinegar and movement at particular times of the day, just to name a few.
But honestly, make sure you follow her on Instagram and her book is a very interesting and recommended read, and the ‘hacks’ that she suggests are very easy to implement.
